About

I'm just a storyteller, and the cinema happens to be my medium.
                                                                           -Federico Fellini

They call me Mikhail Mehra.
I came to San Francisco in the fall of 2009 from Mumbai, India where i have lived all my life. In my younger and more formative years i was an aspiring astrophysicist studying the highest levels of Mathematics and Physics offered to me. I found however that one day Kinematics and Relativity stopped resonating with me, our frequencies ceased to coincide, we were no longer in harmony. Slowly i immersed myself in the world of cinema. Once inside, there was no coming back out. Cinema started to shape my life, the virtues of the characters i saw on screen became mine, their joys were my joys, their tears were often accompanied by mine, i felt connected to these characters. The bridge between me and and the characters that i was built with emotion. I want to harness this emotion. Through the films i make i hope that my audiences are able to cross these very bridges of human emotion, share my perspective of the human experience, journey into my reality.
